Sterling Wright
Sterling Wright is a practitioner of radical hospitality who greets everyone with a hug.
With that same warmth and generous spirit, he has welcomed TJC to the Napier neighborhood where he grew up and is universally loved. Known as Chef 100, he won the hearts of fans and competitors alike when he competed on Fox’s popular cooking show, Hell’s Kitchen. He now cooks for Nashville music stars and British royals. But he cares about everyone just the same, whether an international celebrity or a single mom making minimum wage. He donated bone marrow to a young girl with cancer whom he did not know, undergoing a painful procedure and losing wages to save her life. Sterling teaches young kids from our neighborhood culinary skills and life lessons for free at his Wright Way Cooking School, which we are proud to host in our building. On his 50th birthday Sterling joined us for a neighborhood clean-up day and this spring donned an Easter bunny suit to emcee an Easter egg hunt TJC hosted for the children of Napier Homes. As TJC’s ambassador, advisor and partner, he has introduced us to our amazing neighbors, whose joys and burdens he shares. In a world with too much meanness and suffering, Sterling Wright is a beacon of joy, inspiration and kindness.
