HEALTH EQUITY IN TENNESSEE
WHAT IS HEALTH EQUITY
Health equity means every person, regardless of race, income, education, gender, or other factors, has access to what they need to be as healthy as possible.
WHY IT MATTERS
Too many Tennesseans still face disparities, including higher rates of infant and maternal mortality, chronic conditions, and lower life expectancy, especially in communities of color.
BRINGING DATA INTO FOCUS
We created the health equity dashboard to highlight social determinants of health (SDOH) and health disparities across Tennessee. The data dashboard brings visibility to the conditions shaping people’s health.
