New "LEASE" for Foster Families

susanne bennett with foster parents
Foster parents meet with Susanne Bennett in Paris, TN

The Legal Education, Advocacy, Services, & Empowerment (LEASE) project helps middle Tennessee foster children enrolled in TennCare obtain needed health and mental health services.  LEASE assists middle Tennessee foster families with legal advocacy techniques and individualized legal advice.

Susanne Bennett trains advocates of foster children by explaining these children’s rights to appropriate healthcare and what to do if children are not getting the health or mental health services they need.

TJC seeks foster parents to guide this project and to assist in training other foster parents. If you are interested in volunteering, please call Susanne at 1-877-608-1009.

TJC is interested in talking with guardians ad litem, CASA volunteers, school social workers, local Foster Care Review Boards and judges about their experiences accessing care for children. If you would like to talk with us, please call Susanne at 1-877-608-1009.

The LEASE project is generously supported by: Baptist Healing Trust, the Nacarato Family Fund, and Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
