ANTI HUNGER
Our mission is to end hunger in Tennessee by protecting and strengthening SNAP, WIC, and Child Nutrition Programs. We aim to educate and inform people about the federal nutrition programs through outreach materials, webinars, and our collaborative partner network. We also help with direct client services, where we identify program barriers so that we can ultimately advocate for solutions.

SUMMER EBT
Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program for Children (Summer EBT) was established as a permanent program starting in 2024. Summer EBT provides grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children when schools are closed for the summer.
SUMMER EBT ADVOCATES
Tennessee has not opted into Summer EBT for 2025, which would support families struggling with hunger during the summer months. Tennessee has over 650,000 children who participated in 2024. Join us to advocate for Summer EBT in 2025 in Tennessee!
In 2024, Summer EBT served over 650,000 children in Tennessee and brought over $72 million into the state economy. Tennessee children aren’t going anywhere. They will continue to need food during the summer months in 2025 and beyond.
Please send a letter to the Governor and TDHS Commissioner Clarence Carter asking them to adopt this much-needed program for 2025 and beyond!
