Moniqueca Navarre

Dr. Moniqueca Navarre is a school leader whose focus is on improving education in urban areas. Throughout her 20-year career in education, she has worked in Nashville, TN, various locations in Japan, Atlanta, Ga, Chicago, Il and Knoxville, Tn. Dr. Navarre believes in educating the whole child (mental, physical, emotional) in order to help her students, develop into global leaders.

Dr. Navarre received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Arts in English from Tennessee State university. She then went on to receive her Master of Arts in Teaching from National-Louis University in Chicago, Il. She later attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she received her Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Policy where her research focused on improving failing urban schools.

She currently volunteers with TN Achieves and Real Talk LLC mentoring youth.
