We prioritize health justice, anti-hunger, and equity. TJC works alongside community organizers, grassroots volunteers, and policymakers to enact meaningful and lasting change.
Health Justice

Expand affordable healthcare access to all (Medicaid Expansion).

Prevent Tennessee’s Medicaid program from being a Block Grant.

Connect more Tennesseans with free or affordable vaccines or vaccine information.

Ensure children 0-6 years old maintain TennCare coverage.

Cover doula services through Medicaid.

Pay family caregivers for the care they provide loved ones who have disabilities and/or who are older adults.
Anti-Hunger

Protect the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and remove barriers to access.

Protect the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).

Ensure all children in schools have access to healthy and free school meals.
