Josiah Mezera

Speer Foundation Fellow

Josiah joined the Tennessee Justice Center as a Health Law Fellow sponsored by the Speer Foundation. He hopes to put his Health Law background to use by providing individual legal services and policy solutions, as well as representing clients during administrative appeals. Josiah’s goal is to assist Tennesseans as they confront issues related to TennCare, long-term care, SNAP, and access to justice.

Josiah graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2019 before living in the South Pacific for two years as a missionary. He returned to the United States in 2021 and earned his J.D. from Belmont University College of Law in May, 2024. As a law student, he interned for the Davidson County Probate Court and led the Belmont Health Law Student Association.

In his spare time, Josiah enjoys volleyball, running, cooking, and traveling with his wife Myranda. You can reach Josiah at jmezera@tnjustice.org.
